Worcester, Pennsylvania – American Infrastructure, a leading heavy construction company and materials supplier, today announced that it has recently won two awards recognizing its “Home Safe Tonight” culture. It received the Risk & Insurance Theodore Roosevelt Workers’ Compensation and Disability Management Award (Teddy Award) as well as the Award for Excellence in Workers’ Compensation Risk Management from National Underwriter Property & Casualty magazine.

“Our employees are the lifeblood of our company,” said American Infrastructure’s Chairman and CEO, A. Ross Myers. “We are dedicated to ensuring their safety each and every day and making sure that if they are injured on the job that the proper procedures are followed and they are able to return back to work when the time is right. We take employee injuries seriously and are honored to be recognized for our comprehensive program to prevent injuries and support employees when incidents occur.”

American Infrastructure’s “Home Safe Tonight” initiative is highlighted in the November issue of Risk & Insurance magazine, profiled in the August issue of National Underwriter Property & Casualty magazine and was featured at the Workers’ Compensation Education Conference in August as the result of winning these two awards.

The “Home Safe Tonight” initiative fosters a culture of safety throughout the work environment. The company has had a reduction in its injury rate by over 50 percent in just four years and a significant decrease in workers’ compensation loss rate per $100 of payroll in the past six years.
