Allan Myers announces acquisition of Basic Construction assets
Newport News, VA asphalt plant is Myers’ ninth in Virginia
Allan Myers, a leading heavy civil contractor, announced the acquisition of construction-related assets, including an operating asphalt plant, from Basic Construction in Newport News, VA.

This newest addition to Allan Myers’ slate of operating asphalt plants is its ninth in Virginia, adding to existing plants in Leesburg, Rockville, Powhatan, Petersburg, New Kent, Chesapeake, Fredericksburg, and Wakefield. It is the company’s twenty-third asphalt plant in the Mid-Atlantic region. The construction-related assets include asphalt paving and milling, site and utility, pipe, and storm water management installation activities and infrastructure.
With full-service operations in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C., Allan Myers provides quality asphalt material service to the markets from Philadelphia to the VA/NC border.
