Allan Myers, as part of the FAM Construction joint venture with Ferrovial Construction, has earned a 2026 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Honor Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the I-66/Nutley Street Interchange.
Presented October 15, 2026, the national award recognizes the innovative redesign, which incorporated two roundabouts while preserving the existing Nutley Street bridge. The solution eliminated additional bridge construction, saved more than $10 million, reduced construction and environmental impacts, and improved mobility and safety for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.
The interchange is part of the $3.7 billion Transform I-66 Outside the Beltway project located in Northern Virginia and demonstrates the value of collaboration and creative problem-solving in design-build construction.
This award is one of ASCE’s prestigious national honors recognizing excellence in civil engineering.
